I dunno, too many questions about this "deal" are unanswered in the article. If he imported it himself, did it go through a grey-market importer? Was it actually street-legal? Did they actually do a once-over on the engine before attempting to drive it on its maiden voyage after it was shipped over? I wonder if it was shipped dry (other than assembly lube) and nobody checked the dipsticks. This just sounds to me like someone doing something stupid and then going on the attack against a manufacturer either because they didn't know any better or figured "He who shouts first and loudest wins."




You'd hope they were smarter than that but we all know that's not always true.
