I'd think of owning a couple, but my mom would go ballistic with the dog, three rats and python that we already have in the house (the latter four animals being my sister's). Perhaps in the future - though I'd probably still consider getting a dog first.

My sister wants a snake but she is still in college and is waiting until she gets out.
My friend's father has 2 ferrets that stink pretty bad but I'm sure it is because he doesn't take care of them properly. They are cool little buggers though, although they did shred a bean bag chair thing once...
