Hey, Im trying to figure out how to build a server and I have some questions.

First off, this is the motherboard an CPU Im looking towards Clicky . My biggest question is will I be able to run these UDMA Hard Drives 1) without a RAID controller and 2)How bad will the disk reading load be?

Im trying to avoid SCSI because of the high cost, and I was told that even though the over all speeds between SCSI and UDMA arent that different the SCSI drives allow for multiple reads while the UDMA only allow single. Im not sure which direction to go.

If it matters at all Id like to run Mandrake linux.
Thanks for any help
