When you remove the fuel pump filter is there something else you can put on? I'm thinking if there is enough crud to clog the filter, I don't want it going through the pump.

Besides the filter disc that is too fine and too small on the bottom of the fuel pump module that needs to be thrown away, there is a conventional sock type filter before the fuel pump INSIDE the fuel pump module.

You don't need to add anything else. Getting rid of the disc that plugs too easily you will then be like 99% of the rest of the cars on the road.

Was not aware of the sock filter.

Thanks,
