Sorry Pete, I'm with Todd. it was one mishap, an installation failure. We've had 3L's blow because of isntallation problems, but you wouldn't stop recommending a 3L to someone because of that would you?
Those barb fittings are tight, and as long as you dont forget to clamp it down it will be fine.
As for my opinion on the relocation kit, worth it. its $70 and oil changes are friggin sweet now. No mess. Also, now there is a really easy and great place to tap for gauges.
That installation location is where I origionally thought to install mine, but it looked too tight. Good work getting it in there! The benefit to that vs behind the bumper cover is that if you roll with a splash guard on the front you wont need to remove it to change oil. I dont have one so its not an issue
