I had to put one of the fittings ito a vice grip and lean backwards pulling the hose to get it off the barb fitting. Once the worm gears are clamped down that sucker aint coming off!
I did this mod simply for the gauges, I wanted two easy spots to hook up oil press and temp and got it with this kit. The fact that now I can change the oil without dumping oil onto the manifolds is kind of nice too.
Useless is in the eye of the beholder. Some may think this is useless, like pete, mark, etc. those people dont mind dripping oil all over the exhaust, or scalding their arm on exhaust pipes, or removing A/C components to plumb one gauge. Others of us like things to be a little easier
