Have to remove the splash shield on the pass. side, then the belt, then the 3 bolts that hold the compressor on. After it's free is it not still in the way of getting the freeze plug out and the new fittings on in there. I did this with the motor out so I wouldn't know. You can pull a bumper cover just as easy if not easier.
