how is it worthless, it:
allows for a cleaner oil change
spot to plumb pressure and temp gages
uses a larger oil filter
I was concerned about the rubber hoses at first also but with barbed fittings and hose clamps they are not comming off easily, just want the line like any other rubber tube and replace as needed ....

Worthless mod in my opinion.

STFU!!!!! Big deal! Had a poorly tightened worm clamp. This is the only way to get proper oil temps. Don't be pissy Pete because of the way I talked to you in other post. Thought you were brighter than that. Some kids need to stop talking about things they don't know about. Everyone knows I'm the king of useless mods. I just spend money for fun.

It has nothing to do with the other thread. I just think it compromises reliabilty. And tapping thatspot for oil pressue is not any easier than down by the A/C.
Things I don't know about...I know the lines came off and after that point I was sold on never doing that mod!

WTF are you talking about?!! I have my pressure off the block behund the a/c compressor. My MECHANICAL OIL TEMPERATURE gauge with 2.5" probe has to go in a relocation bracket. Where would you put it smart guy? I know where else I'd like to put it right now. And you're a dumb ass for thinking this relocation kit isn't a great way to plumb both temp and pressure because of one mishap. Sure beats removing the A/C. Easier to remove the front bumper cover. Oil changes will be a snap and a larger oil filter can be utilized. Ask Ryan, Adam, Brian, etc etc.

You are VERY lucky you didn't blow another motor when that line blew off. You were leaking oil for 500 yards!
As for the pressure comment, Brapple mentioned doing pressure off that. I guess I should've quoted him for that. Idk A/C removal vs. bumper removal is hard. A/C took about 15 minutes and involved 4 10mm bolts.

Have to remove the splash shield on the pass. side, then the belt, then the 3 bolts that hold the compressor on. After it's free is it not still in the way of getting the freeze plug out and the new fittings on in there. I did this with the motor out so I wouldn't know. You can pull a bumper cover just as easy if not easier.

I just pulled the A/C totally out. I had done it with the motor out, but I didn't use teflon tape...so I had to pull it back out. Took about an hour to teflon all that stuff and re-install.
I was seriously considering the oil filter relocation. I would feel comfy with it if I used SS lines with those screw on AN fittings.

I had to put one of the fittings ito a vice grip and lean backwards pulling the hose to get it off the barb fitting. Once the worm gears are clamped down that sucker aint coming off! I did this mod simply for the gauges, I wanted two easy spots to hook up oil press and temp and got it with this kit. The fact that now I can change the oil without dumping oil onto the manifolds is kind of nice too. Useless is in the eye of the beholder. Some may think this is useless, like pete, mark, etc. those people dont mind dripping oil all over the exhaust, or scalding their arm on exhaust pipes, or removing A/C components to plumb one gauge. Others of us like things to be a little easier
