doesnt the s2k rev up to like 8 or 9k? probably low on torque but meant to be driven in the upperband.

It does have to be revved all the way up there to do anything. I drove one for about a week, fun car but i hate the power band. You get about 3k total to play with anything under 7k is worthless. For me it was fun because its small and a convertible.

exactly! All the power is shown at high revs. If you dont drive like that you miss all the fun.

They upped the displacement (IIRC) in MY02 to address that issue. Not sure how much of a difference it made. Probably a little more driveable.
