Seems these soldiers are guilty of far more than misconduct. I wonder what would be the penalty for them? Life in prison? Over here, premeditated murder can get you death.

Murder, not war....

.....first they aren't soldiers, they are Marines. There IS a difference. Second, I'll await the FINAL report to come out.

Semantics - Soldier 1. somebody serving in army: somebody who serves in a military organization

The final report will be just that. A final report of a murder committed.

Why is it going to for sure, 100% be a murder conviction? What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty??? Sure, the evidence is stacked against them, but I will always give soldiers the benefit of the doubt.

It will be a murder conviction because they killed him IMO. Sure, they're innocent until proven guilty. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt to them too, but that's just it there is TOO much doubt in this instance. Frankly, I get tired of reading about military abuses.

That's just it.... its YOUR opinion.. but that, in no way, makes the statement "it will be a murder conviction" any more true.

That I don't doubt that will end up happening is irrelevant.

Once again, semantics and that makes your post irrelevant.

No, pointing out to you that because it's your opinion does not mean it is true, is not a symantics argument.

There has been far too much sensationalization of our troops doing wrong over-seas, only to have the investigation prove that they did nothing wrong. All the big media outlets, CNN especially, do nothing but report on Iraq with only negatives. Hell, even their reporting of Zarquawi's death had headlines like "He's Dead, but is it really good for us?" They are so biased in their hatred of Bush that they take it out wherever they can, including our troops.

I forget his name, but there was a soldier not too long ago whose name was drug through the mud, called murderer, only to be cleared of all wrong doing. There is no need for these sensationalized stories in a time of war. Do you not think our enemy reads our news reports??? Do you not think that if the soldiers are proven innocent, that these reports do nothing but bolster support for Al Queda?

My question is why can the major news outlets not report anything good about the war? And why can they not save reporting these details of events, after they are confirmed by a court of law?

That goes out the window when the defendants are soldiers, or anyone else in a position that the media can use them to make Bush or the war look wrong.
