That RCA input on the amp, that you r connected to in the pic, will only work in bridge mode, and sounds like it turns off the other inputs while in bridge.
In bridge one channel runs 180deg out of phase to the other. If you put it back into non-bridge and have a channel with no load, the transistors can go into a thermal runaway and cook them selfs.
