It seems like when it comes to this arguement, some people have off the wall thoughts on it due to the fact they've never tried it. I'm not saying everyone needs to run out at try it, but look at y2ksvt's comments. It's clear he has never used marijuana.

Y2ksvt, whomever gave you your ideas on marijuana misinformed you. Marijuana is less a gateway drug than alcohol. Honestly, the whole gateway drug thing is stupid. If alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana didn't exist, people would still use other drugs, and I reckon some other drug would be labeled "the" gateway drug.
And as far as driving/functioning while high. Driving while intoxicated by any substance is stupid. Now, just because some people you've seen or heard about claim they're a great driver high, doesn't mean every person that smokes weed goes out and drives high. But just like alcohol, it can be legal but still have laws against it's use while driving.
Though I will say I am most likely a better driver high than most people are sober, I still refrain from doing it as I'm also a better driver sober than I am high. And it's by far easier to drive high than drunk. But again, both are bad. Mmmkay.
