I was gonna let you go but as someone who has come through a 3 year ecstasy addiction, i have to comment. Going cold turkey will not cause dead spots in your brain. Constant use of the drug will, but we're talking years and years of abuse. One person I can think of has taken it since it was the real stuff back in the 80's (20 years) and is not dead. Memory loss? yes. Headaches? yes. unable to function in society? no. Will the effects fade? Who knows, he's got no intention on stopping.

Am I going to get an mri to look at my brain? no. I have experienced some short term memory loss...meaning general forgetfulness...tools, my phone, remembering to call people. But i was ditzy before hand. The most notable sideeffect was lack of motivation and a general "down feeling" in between trips (seratonin deficiency). All of which has faded in the short time i've been clean.

You're not going to die from taking 3 pills either. I'd been taking 3 pills a night since the day i started. The stuff you get nowadays is so low in actual mdxx that it's not like taking one pill in the 80's and trippin' your face off for 8-12 hours (unless you can get your hands on molly...good luck with that). For the last 2 years i have consistantly taken 3-6 per night, friday and saturday, every week. So probably somewhere around 1500 hits total in the past 3 years. Atleast.

If half of what you hear about weed is untrue, then 80% of what you hear about ecstasy is untrue. Those kids that died didn't dehydrate. They over hydrated, or just overheated themselves. That's just people not knowing their limits. I've never been high enough to not notice myself being in danger...and i've been pretty freakin' high. The main thing to be scared of is that some pills contain alot of meth. That stuff will do you dirty. But, if you want to be an addict as opposed to a casual user, you know your sources and what you're getting. You can buy kits to test whatever you buy and determine it's contents ($20), or just find a trusted source.
