That's funny because according to the US Government, via the National Academy of Sciences, Alcohol has the greatest risk as a "gateway drug". Second greatest risk? Cigarettes. Third greatest risk? Heavy marijuana use (more than a whopping 10 per day). Fourth greatest risk? Psychiatric disorders.
People use faulty logic in the whole "Gateway Drug" thing. Yes, people who use heroin probably did some marijuana. But very few people who do marijuana will do heroin. It's like saying because all people that die from alcohol poisoning drink alcohol that all people that drink alcohol will die from alcohol poisoning.
