I hope you didn't waste money on aftermarket springs.

IMO KYB makes a quality strut, but they didn't do their homework with this application. OEM SVT struts are probably more suitable, but then again who knows for sure?

BTW, I'm 39 and I don't give a damn what the ignorant masses think of my car. The anonymity is part of the fun.
