The same can be said about alcohol and that is not illegal. The reason pot is illegal and treated as if it were crack rock is because the US is still stuck in this puritanical dream world. I am an American so nobody jump on my back saying that I don't know. I will smoke a j a few times a year, and I don't live at my parents place. When I smoke I don't go driving, just as I won't when I drink.
