Anyone have info or experience with the Powerdyne Superchargers? They dont yet have an application for the Contour, but they look very efficient and simple installation. Bolt on 40-50% hp gain with no fuss about oil lines etc, just a v-belt and intake plumbing. They claim very quiet too.

Just wanted to compare to Vortec. A group buy price could be cheap.

How may CEGers have SC now, and please elaborate or brag about performance. Thanks.

I think it was 11 or 12 CEG'ers that have a vortec on their car. I wish it was a bit more reliable...if it was I'd make it 13 frown

exactly... the Powerdynes look like they'd be very reliable, so I wanted to inquire more. What are the true hp gains for some of the Vortec installs. Are they on SEs or SVTs? R/ Pat

You will still have to use a "jack shaft" to run the S/C and then will be right in the boat with Vortech.

The Vortech's fail because the jackshaft tears them up with it's vibrations/oscillations.

It doesn't matter who makes the S/C until someone makes a reliable jack shaft to run it with!

BTW - The Vortech S/C is adding around 100HP at the wheels!

Powerdyne is belt driven instead of gear driven like Vortech... belts a good hamronic dampening attributes and powerdyne's are super quiet. I'd be willing to switch if Powerdyne would set something up.
