Almost every single person I've ever been around acts pretty much the same when they've been smoking. Your friend crashing his vehicle because he was hungry is a very rare instance, I've never heard of anything like that.

As for the living in "your aunts basement smoking jibbies all day" comment, that is pretty ridiculous. I know plenty of adults who are VERY successful but can still sit down at the end of the day and smoke a bowl. If you want to talk about people abusing drugs, take a look at alcohol. I've seen first hand that alcohol causes many more problems in society than weed. If you find someone living in their aunt/parent's basement, it is more likely it is because they are an alcoholic rather than a pothead.

Talk to people who have gone to Europe, to countries that don't prohibit the use of marijuana and they'll tell you it is much less of a problem than alcohol abuse is. I think wien_sean is right about the brainwashed!
