![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif) You know, when I look at your car, it screams creampuff to me, not offroad vehicle. Were you really going offroading for kicks, or was that the only road you knew to take, and didn't want to turn around?

Should have opted for the upgraded pan. How did you crack the pan and not feel or hear it?

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment
for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety
labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

I could have gone another way, but of course because it was like 10 minutes out of the way, I opted to just go through the road construction. everything was pretty smooth except the rock that got me. There was a dip before the rock and a dip after the rock spaced just right to where my front wheels fell in the front dip and the rear wheels when in the rear dip and the rock was like "HELLO!" BAM! I needed to get out of the construction zone, kuz if I got caught a big ticket would also have come from this. I figured, if it was wrecked, it was wrecked - so I kept on truck'n till I was plenty far away...

lol! never thought of that - a police officer probably saw that and figured I had already did enough damage and decided to just let it go... hehe

Ive done that, when I was 16, but I was driving my Mom's car. Dad had alwasys told me stories about he took his cars wheeling when he was younger so I figured I could do the same. Unlike the police officer that never showed up on your doorstep, she followed the trail.

My 2000 SE was a rental in Kauai Hawaii, and it had a cracked oil pan when I got it, leaked a quart a week. Caught it after I had car for 2 months and dealer fixed it for 1/2 price. Friends say there are rough roads there and the car had red mud stains in odd places.
Sure, if I knew better maybe I wouldn't have bought it. But then nothing else went wrong with car until it got wrecked.
