I changed the starter on my '99 SVT a month ago. I searched for hints and "how to" info. before I started. I removed the battery and the intake at the TB to gain access. It was also suggested to use gear wrenches, which really helps. After you remove the bolts be careful as you remove it from the car. This is not a difficult job, just a pita.
