How the heck did it end up in the states?

I struck a deal with the dealership that sold me the STI where waiting to get the sale price I wanted and buying a new STI vs trading it in and getting thier STI for a good amount less than dealer list blanced out.
I still wish I could have had both but 3 cars is not practical for me and the SVT in it's current form was not very practical in the winter (especially since I already have 1 summer only car)

Just as a note...this is not my FS post. I was never asking that much myself. The problem is, and it's not all of you, but a vast majority of people that were enquiring about the car were offering far less than what the dealer was even offering at the start before I struck the deal. As a matter of fact I had offers for the Motor/Trans that were greater or equal to some of the lowball offers I got from CEG'ers. It's kinda funny but I see why some vendors walk away from GB's or making new product now b/c everyone wants things at a price where you will have to take a huge loss to sell it.
