Why waste the money? Hawk up a good spit! If you're going to get lube, get some decent stuff like Wet or ID. If you want to be a little more off the wall, get Elbow Grease. Some nice poppers like Jungle Juice Platinum or an aerosol popper.
Seriously, though. I don't think you're looking to be that blatant. I agree with the gift of something he really likes that he'd never buy for himself. A silver "tire" ring in another thread may make a cool gift, or may be a little more "close" than you want. Anyway... take him out for a nice dinner, hang out at the Eagle 501 for drinks and fun (I really liked it as a bar) and just have fun!
