Ford Taurus - Safe and reliable. My Contour was a reliable little car before I sold it. And quality? Lets take a Hyundai Tiburon... 2.7L V6 DOHC. 2003 vehicle. WELL maintained. Engine seized up, Hyundai said it was his fault.

Our 1994 Ford Escort LX, 1.9L I4, 180k on a 5 speed MTX, and STILL starts on the first try quickly, and continues to run like a new car.

Domestic hasn't failed us yet. Don't intend on it either.
