You prob believe that gay marriage is wrong, stem cell is evil, and that only god can save you...sorry I live in THIS world. All you do is say, "ah evil liberal" and add nothing to the discussion besides that. Great work!!!
We went into Iraq for WMD and when those weren't there we changed the story to this being all about 9/11...this war in Iraq has been a political JOKE!
I don't like the idea that we went to war and took the lives of many young soldiers because of some cowboy president, but that is the reality of the situation! How did the whole world police/domination thing work out for the Brits?!?!
If you believe that those people in Iraq are ever going to turn into a safe and stable democracy then you are in denial.
First off it is a gloom and doom type of comment that you made because no matter how GOOD the situation turns out, those in the Doom and Gloom crowd always point to the bad in the situation. Thuse, your post of, "We should never have been there in the first place" fit right in with the rest of them.
The fact is, there is nothing this president could ever do that many in the doom and gloom crowd would ever approve of. We could capture OBL right now and they would still say "Too late" or "Doesn't matter, look at Iraq" or "Yeah but now look at all the Muslims that hate us now". Its never good enough for them. We could pull out of Iraq right this minute and they would say "It's too late" or "Yeah but look at all the innocent soldiers that Bush killed". Not to mention that even if we pulled out of Iraq now and things got worse (which they would), you know who would be screaming bloody murder at the president for going in there in the first place right? DOOM AND GLOOM LIBERALS.
Yes we went into Iraq on false information it seems right now. But thats where we have differing opinions. I think that we have made a mess, and we need to clean it up. Not just cut and run and leave the Iraqis to do the job we should be doing. Once Iraq is self supporting I am all for getting our troops out of there, but not a moment sooner.
Call him a cowboy president all you want, but the fact is, the very people you wish to see in his place in office voted for the same war based on the same intelligence. If you think he is out for world domination it just shows how out of touch and anti-Bush you really are. Nobody wants to "dominate the world", but one of the fundamental principles America has always promoted is FREEDOM!
Wether Iraq ever turns into a safe and stable democracy or not is not the issue. Its giving them a shot at it in the first place that matters. Thats something they never had with Saddam running the country.
