KBB takes into account what cars routinely sell for and gather evidence that supports that. So if KBB private party value is $8K I'm sure they did their research to support that a ten year old Mustang that SVT made about 10,000 of that year will sell for about $8,000.

Rare or not, the car did not hold its resale value all that well. Much like my SVT Contour
