We shoot 5 beavers a year cause they kill our trees, a few raccoons, and the weekly squirrel that won't stop getting in the bird feeders jsut to name a few!! I mean unless your in a rather metro area or have some very anul law enforcement in the area, I say get out the rifle (or a .22, your choice although the latter is much more boring).
You mean this post? I must say, I've seen worse spelling and grammar on this site.

Don't kid yourself; you have rednecks there...
Raccoons can be a complete and utter pest; I've shot a few in my day as well. They are extremely cute critters, but they typically are disease carriers (i.e., RABIES) and once they figure out how to get into something, it's practically impossible to keep them out or away from whatever they find interesting without killing them.
I actually have had to shoot one off of a hunting dog (pointer) of mine that got into a tangle with one; they latch on and will NOT let go until they are dead or the dog runs off. It was immediately off to the vet for rabies shots for the dog, too.
I don't think most people go out of their way to fill them full of lead, but they can be a bloody menace...
Squirrels make good eating, so plinking the occasional bushy-tail off of the bird feeders isn't a bad thing. Pan-fried squirrel (olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, white wine and a touch of molasses in the mix) pairs quite nicely with a bold Syrah or spicy Chianti.
You city-slickers don't know what you are missing at times.

Nice winter hat just walked out of your garage.
LOL. Would have loved to have shot it. I didn't think it was legal though. My little brother wanted to get his bb gun out and take aim.

I had this thing in my garage about a year ago. In the pic you see chicken on the floor to lure it out. After I got it with gloves on, I brought it to some thick woods. But on the way there, it decided to take a dump while I was holding it. I thought that was pretty funny to see this possum squeeze this turd out while I was taking it a way from my house, I guess its a defence mechanism.

Racoons are like big furry rats, just more "cute", along with seagulls they are one species I wouldn't shed a tear if they became extinct.
