Very cool. Didn't know if you or someone in the family married into a Chinese family is all.
Haven't been there in over 10 years. I was over there and about made people on bicycles crash into each other as they are turning their head staring at a 6'2" chinaman (at the time) walking down the street going to a local stand for some spicy beef soup noodles.
I was visiting my late grandmother on my father's side for the first time. She even gave me currency that was worth $20 USD as a belated birthday present. I was happy, but my parents put into realization that what she gave me was a month's wage being a telephone operator, AT 90 YEARS OLD. AND she was smaoking Malboro Reds since she was 16.
Love China, but love Taiwan as well, less military presence. Plus went to Taiwan and met with a Taiwanese Army General that was an army buddy of my dad's, back in the WWII era. Got to ride in a General's convoy onto a Army base, getting saluted to every where you went kinda crap. Got all the food and candy I wanted and asked for. This is all sweet when your 12 years old.
