Happily, both passenger and driver are OK although a bit worse for wear.
I did the 3.0 conversion/build and I must say to James that the 2.5 was the cleanest motor I've seen with that kind of mileage on it. I told Aaron at the time that I didn't believe him about the mileage. Figured the motor must have been replaced/rebuilt somewhere along the way. The cylinder bore cross hatch was still visible!
In more ways than 1, the transaxle was the problem.
Anyhow, it appears that there will be another conversion coming along soon, right Aaron! It would be a waste to let that motor and all the new and custom suspension parts go to the wrecker/crusher.

Yeah, I miss the car . For some reason we did not mesh well at all but I still loved that car (must be tough love). The body shop submitted it's report saying the car is a write off, but I haven't heard how much the damage is.

Wow, man... I'm glad you and your mom came out of it pretty well, but that totally sucks about the car. I hope you find another and get back on the road soon. I am just amazed at some of the stupid stuff drivers do out there. Marty
