It is also worth noting that often when those codes are sent, they are false codes. They can set when there really may not be anything wrong with the cats. There is a TSB that reprograms the PCM on some Contiques (not all, not even as many as should have been) that widens the parameters for setting the code. If you need more information about this, speak up and I'll post it again.




I agree Big Jim. I will drive the car for a few miles and if the P0420 comes back, i will try the easy $30 mileliminator fix first. I think DavidC11 has misleading information.
