My dad also has a gem in the garage, covered up collecting dust is a 73 Mercury Capri 2600cc V6 4 on the floor, and he bought it brand new, seen one winter and has 43,XXX original miles on it.
Original paint too.
He won a car show or 2 with it, a first or 2 firsts and a 2nd or 2 2nd places I can't remember.
Bad thing is the carb is shot he needs to rebuild or get a new one. But don't really have the money to get it out on the road...wish he did.
