What if you got some sort of rubber gromet, or a 1/4" thick piece of rubber to space the mirror off of the door panel itself?
Well, I'd need to be about a 1/2" thick spacer....tapered down to about 1/8" from window to outside door skin to account for the angle of the door design
Something to think about, anyway.
I was hoping to discover that the mirror frame could rotate upon the mounting post. No deal. A pair of screws inside the mirror frame screw into the post, effectively keeping it at the angle for the Jaguar's door profile.
It was a $5 experiment. No big loss. I'll problably get more for it when I sell it on eBay.
