yeah, thats half the reason why you do a CAI, a bigger constant metal pipe keeps the airflow more controled, as well as a better area for cooler air, which we all know cooler air=better for engine. As well as it makes a nice throaty sound when you get on the gas... I got a nice little short ram setup for the C-Rolla and it sounds angry when you get on the gas pedal.

Metal pipe=heat soak=higher temperature of the incoming air. Plastics,rubbers, and aluminum are far better materials for constructing intakes due to their relatively quick heat up and down properties. Also, you might be missing the whole "budget CAI" thing. The whole point was not to shell out a billion dollars for something I could make myself for $65.

Anyway, my intake sounds much better in person than in that little video clip. THe whole setup does register pretty well on the kick in the pants-ometer, and I'm glad I did it.
