I suspect the same.
There is something unique about how the A/C operates on SVTs, at least the early ones. This may contribute to your poeblem, especially if the clutch is out of adjustment or weak. Part of the design strategy for the SVT (and I know of no other cars that do this) is to turn off the A/C (no power to the clutch) when you start rolling to about 5 MPH (I forgot the exact speed). If the clutch is weak, it just may not recover after that shut-down.
