i tried a recharge kit once because the A/C didnt work when i bought the car. i had the car running,the A/C on and i hooked the nozzle up to the inlet and the meter went to the red portion of the gauge. that meant that there was some malfuction in the system. in my case it was a bad compressor. i took it and got it fixed. it wasnt cheap. it is ice cold now.
