I really like the idea of a diesel, but I just want something newer and with lower miles. I plan on keeping whatever I get for aleast 5 years, if not longer. I'm really liking the '04+ F150 Lariat or FX4 crewcabs, and it could easily suit my needs. The interiors are sweet and I like the styling. I've found a lot of them local that I'll be looking at this week in the $20-25K ballpark with tasteful aftermarket goodies

Even if you bought a used diesel with say 75k on the clock and you drove 15k for the next 5 years that would be 150k total, and while I am not a diesel expert, many say that 150k is "just broken in" not to mention that the extra expense will be returned through better mileage and increased resale, but it's your money you can get a gasser if ya want.

Ha ha! When I went up to Oregon for my job interview, they reserved a F150, extended cab, long bed for Ashley and I. We both said, "Who wants to rent one of these?" Since Ashley hated driving it so much, we took some funny pics with the truck:

Derek, those are the s%*^ box versions The lariat or FX4 equipped F150's have a sweet console w/ nice shifter, seats, trim and even the gauge cluster is different. When equipped well AND teamed with some nice aftermarket wheels/tires, the new F150 looks
After talking to some family, I am now looking at cars again. I don't have to get a truck/suv, but it would come in handy. Bah, I'm stumped on what to get

Daymon - Legacy GT Wagon.
It's got AWD and plenty of space to keep it nice and utility-friendly.
It's got 250hp on tap, easily bolstered by an intake and exhaust, which should keep you pretty satisfied with power and thus reducing the temptation to mod. Plus, there's just something cool about hauling arse in a wagon.
Slap on some spiffy wheels and maybe lower it, and you've got yourself one nicely (but slightly ) modified fun wagon.
Perfect solution, huh?
Edit: I just read that you can't get a manual in the GT wagon.

If it doesn't have a salvaged title, I would like to pick this one up! They had a red G35 with nice 19's, but it's being held I also stopped by Larry H Miller's Ford Truckland to check out an '02 Lightning w/ 28K on the clock. Flawless truck, but not as fast as I remember them being I got triple teamed by the salesman, sales manager and their used car manager to buy it today They were asking 26,900 + fees. I got them down to 24,500 out the door, and then walked on it
