Can anyone say, BULLLLL!!
Well they're right about the dropped calls. Can't get dropped calls if you can't even make them!
I have never really had problems with them before but the fact that their tech support is closed sucks because now I have to wait until Tuesday to find out whats going on if my service doesn't come back by then.

it must depend on your area. where i am, sprint/nextel are the worst. Cingular isn't the best either...

Zero problems with Cingular (except the fact that I don't have service in my neighborhood, though that's not entirely their fault). I never had to deal with their customer service though, one of my friends switched to T-Mobile because of his encounters with Cingular's customer service.
I had Cingular before and it was a disaster (just after the CellOne->Cingular rename, around 2000-2001) but no problems lately. Sprint however was a nightmare and a half (2002-2003). Dropped calls like nobody's business -- even where there was service, which was rare to begin with. Actual conversation I had with customer service:
- I'm want to cancel my Sprint plan.
- okay, why are you canceling?
- dropped calls, people can't hear me, poor service
- I'm sorry, I can't hear you, can you please speak up?
The person on the other end then proceeded to charge me for my last month's bill (with my permission) but overcharged which I found out later. I then had a$4.96 credit which kept getting sent to me as a statement for five months before they finally caught on and cut me a check.

I'm on Cingular & have no issues - works just fine . I can't remember a time where I didn't have service , except in Cass , WV - and that's because there are no cell towers because of the radio telescope near there (can't have the interference) . I have many friends/family that are on Cingular & all seem happy too .

I had Cingular, it sucked, I went to AT&T, it was ok, then it sucked after it became Cingular, then I went Nextel, it was good, then it became Sprint/Nextel, and it still works fine for me

I've had Cingular for 3+ years and have never had an issue with them. It works everywhere I go except Japan, but Japan has their own specific system. Oh, and my parents house. Then again, no other services make it out that far and through all the trees either.
