My '96 Contour SE (V6) makes a groaning noise from the front end. This occurs when the car is moving at speed and the wheel is turned. When driving in a straight line, the sound nearly goes away. It is loudest when accelerating through a curved freeway on ramp.
I have read that these cars are known for bad wheel bearings, but how can I know if this is the problem with my car?
