I recently had my SFCs installed. Here's what they looked like all nice and painted: As others have discovered, sometimes the exhaust hits against the DS SFC. The easiest fix is to wrap the SFC w/ radiator hose. My shop suggested cutting the exhaust and moving it slightly to avoid any collisions (seems to be working so far): Pic of SFC installed. The shop did a very nice job w/ the welds, they are very difficult to see after the shop touched up w/ black paint: Just a litte reminder of what these SFCs were installed on:

basically they stiffen the subframe, make it more durable.

The subframe connectors do not even touch the subframes, maybe your thinking of boxing the subframe?

They do stiffen the car, which may or may not make it more durable. I haven't had a good chance to really test these bad boys out yet. I'm taking a trip to the mountains this weekend (Mad River, Sugarbush ski area) to give them a good work out.

Make sure you practice a little in a parking lot first. I was talking with a guy over on NCO that almost took out a median when he first took a turn. He said that they made that much of a difference. Granted, that was a couger and I'm not sure of his driving abilities. I'd still rather screw-up in an open parking lot than off and into a ravine.

I'll repeat myself... they add weight.
