Make sure you practice a little in a parking lot first. I was talking with a guy over on NCO that almost took out a median when he first took a turn. He said that they made that much of a difference. Granted, that was a couger and I'm not sure of his driving abilities. I'd still rather screw-up in an open parking lot than off and into a ravine.
I've been driving around w/ them for about a month now so I have a good feel for what they are doing. I will have a co-pilot with me (my wife ) so I'm sure I won't even come close to reaching the limits of the handling. Note to self: find a local auto-cross event to attend.

basically they stiffen the subframe, make it more durable.
The subframe connectors do not even touch the subframes, maybe your thinking of boxing the subframe?
I'll repeat myself... they add weight.
so does a turbo, does that make it not functional?

Think about how these are installed and what they are bolted to. Now... think about how the suspension is attached to the body of this particular vehicle. Any additional torsional rigidity that these may provide is going to be completely negated by the movement of the cradles that the suspension is bolted to. Most cars that make good use of are front engined rear drive cars that can cause twist due to torque loads, we don't have that problem, atleast not in the same fashion as a mustang or camaro. Inshort to be effective any additional bracing needs to tie directly to the front or rear cradles/subframes.

Only on a car with extremely stiff suspension.. Even then I would consider them to be of poor design because they don't actually tie into anything. Personally I think you would get a more noticable result out of the Mirko Aluminum rear subframe bushings. (xchang has them on his car and I'm sure he can describe the difference in feel)

I would chalk that up to stupidity and not the connectors. That or the chassis was twisted when he put them in and now the whole car alignment is off and it handles improperly.
I love my connectors. Ive noticed a nice improvement in the cars handling. If you are worried about weight I hope you dont have a sub, or tools in the trunk, etc. A passenger is 3-4 times the weight of these anyways. BFD. They are worth it.

the only way they could be better is weld in a cross brace connecting the 2, but then your into some extreme crazyness.
