I thought this wax-off was a really cool idea. I want to thank Pete and Roger for participating in it. I definitely learned a few things by hanging out with them, and observing their techniques.

I felt that in the shade under the tent there was a more noticeable difference of the two sides. It might have been because out in the sun the swirl marks on the car were more visible which detracted from the particular appearance of the products that were used.

Steve, thanks for detailing my hood (it's the only part of the car that's waxed ). I'm washing the GTO tomorrow evening and will post pics of how it's holding up.

If there is another wax off at next years SZ, it really should be done on a car in need of some serious help... not a black car with a nice finish. That way you can truly see the improvement and differences.

It depends what the goal is:
- immediate results
- longevity/durability
- restoration

Different approaches, products, and time needed. I'm up for anything. I have a major detailing restoration in the next 7 days - pics coming soon for some serious .

If you're willing to wait until 07 in Grand Rapids - sure.
