Competitor #1: Klasse Act (Roger)
Clay bar
Klasse All In One
Klasse Sealant Glaze
Pinnacle Souveran
MF towels

Competitor #2: GTO Pete
Zaino Z18 Clay bar
Zaino Z1 Polish Lok
Zaino Z2 Pro
Zaino Z6 Gloss Enhancer
Terry cloth towel

Surface:

My expectations:
To "lose". Common belief is that carnauba looks better than synthetic on darker colored cars.

Jim (beyondloadedse) marked one side "1" (mine) and the other side "2" (Roger) for judging my SZers.

After completion, people were stating that you could not visually tell the difference between the two sides other than side #2 being dusty - a side effect of carnauba. (FYI: Side #1 was dust free.) The "feel test" revealed side one to be much slicker.

Results:

Thanks to Jim, Mark and Scott for setting up the event and the tent. Thanks to Roger for going head to head and talking detailing. Rematch in 07?

Jim, tell your brother he owes me one. He's lucky I grabbed the tent when it took off before one of the legs slammed into the side of his car.

I had a great time detailing the car Pete, I thought more people would've been over there learning something, oh well, their loss LOL! Yeah I couldn't tell the difference between the two finishes either and as far as the touch goes, well, I didn't touch your side at all. I hope Scott keeps us posted about durability as well

actually some of us could see smudges on side 2, which was the extra push to vote for side 1.
Looks like all of the product wasn't wiping clean or something.

There was never a doubt in my mind that Zaino rocks.

The smudges could've been from people fingering the car and I should've walked over there and gave the car a final "once over" when it was moved outside, but like you said there was no doubt that Zaino rocks and you voted accordingly

I saw a difference in the sun reflection. The Zaino side was much deaper and precise, the other side seemed to "scatter" the reflected sunlight which made the surrounding surface look a little hazy.

These were distinctly buffing smudges, not finger smudges.
I noticed the same "swirls" on your car too, FWIW.
A final once over probably would have helped.
