AS A DEALER IN PASADENA, I CAN TELL YOU NOT TO EXPECT ANYWHERE NEAR RETAIL. I AM SELLING AN AWESOME 2000 WITH ONLY 18000 MILES FOR 13995 AND IT IS STILL FORSALE AND I AM A DEALER WITH MORE CUSTOMERS THAN YOU ARE LIKELY TO HAVE. YOU CAN EXPECT A DEALER TO GIVE YOU SOMEWHERE AROUND 10K TO 11K FOR IT ON TRADE AND THEN HE WILL SELL IT FOR AROUND 16K. BUT YOUR NOT A DEALER, SO YOU MUST EXPECT LESS THAN HE GETS. OTHERWISE, WHY BUY FROM YOU? I SURE WILL BE GLAD TO GET MY SVT BACK FROM MY SON AT BAYLOR UNIVERSITY THIS WEEKEND. I AM SO READY TO DRIVE IT AGAIN. A CAR IS MUCH EASIER TO SELL IF IT IS AVILABLE FOR DEMONSTRATION.
C'mon, now you're going to bum him out.. It all depends on who you come across.. Apparently, that dealer that TLP saw much have alot of suckers to pay that much for the car. On the flip side, 10-11K for a '00 w/ 18K is kinda low. Heck, I sold my 98.5 w/ 50K miles for $12K. It took some work, and alot of time, but if you're patient, you could probably get around $14K (assuming you clean it up).
