drove from Pleasanton to Palm Springs at 58 MPH with only one stop en-route. I let the cruise control do the work and used no AC for the whole trip. The return trip was "only" 33.6 MPG, but there was a headwind most of the way. I opened it up for a few miles on a long open stretch near Bakersfield at 05:00. Reached 138 MPH and still climbing a little before I let off. I didn't want to pass a semi at that clip. Damn, it felt good!!!
