NANCY DREW AND THE HARDY BOYS WERE THE BEST MYSTERY BOOKS

Before the Internet & text messaging.

When we recorded stuff on VCRs & paid $3.50 for a movie.

I'd say all of the above are more "child of the 80's" than "child of the 90's." The Karate Kid, Smurfs, Trapper Keepers, VH1, etc. are all things that a kid who grew up in the 90's would be too young to have used.

Agreed. I was born in 72, and grew up in the 80s with alot of this stuff.

"Heads Up 7 Up"

I have very fond memories of the girl I liked touching my thumb and then picking the wrong girl. I still remember the cold touch of her finger. Uhhhh... ok.

Man, those were the days.

What about the programs that speak what you type? I had so much fun using the computer to say questionable words.

Ugh I couldnt stand watching GUTS. They picked the worst people in the world to compete on it and I cringed at how they used the Nerf Bow and Arrow. I was so jealous of them.

I used to love Nick Arcade. Even though the people on there were terrible at games like Super R-Type or Sonic the Hedgehog. The virtual reality game at the end kind of sucked too.

Actually I knew all those except The Karate Kid. Old-school Trapper Keepers were a HUGE deal from 1st to 4th grade (1990-1993) then we moved to the zipper keeper things. Born in 1984 here so I was caught in the transition between 80s and 90s.
