Yeah, budget is certainly an issue when it comes to engines in those, however, if you aren't in any hurry to build itwhy not do it all the way? What you could do is build it with that 302, and while you drive it around with that puppy, save up for a big dog 429CJ or 427. Either way, that F5 is one nice project car. Gawd, the looks you are gonna get driving that up and down town.....well worth the money it would seem.
