If you are going to insist on using a Gtech for any credible numbers, then a comparision would be required.
otherwise, you'd have to do multiple runs in 3rd (preferably) or 2nd, and get an average set of numbers for all data types while recording BOTH DIRECTIONS (to accomodate for any slope in the road and wind speed, etc.)
