I'll get some close up shots of the Mondy for ya. Unfortunately, the shade of yellow I used was the wrong one. So it's a little off from the graphics, but that's ok.


I'm very happy with the Mazda shell. It has a very neutral feel, while still staying glued to the track. I moved the spoiler back to get more downforce. The big lip spoiler along the front gives all the turn-in bite any driver would need; which is good because it's all or nothing for me; and I've got the blown out tires to show for it.

where did you get the chassis for the car? i have a contour body, thanks to kev, but i need everything else.

The chassis is a Team Associated TC4. I have the Team version. It can be had sans electronics for around $215. With no clothes on:

Does it come with everything shown there? If so that's impressive... considering the cells and the electronic speed controller. 4WD too!

Nope; sans electronics. You can get a ready-to-run package for about $250; but it lacks the battery. Ready-to-run TC4 page. And that 4WD is super sweet.

So I forgot what "sans" meant. But it does come with an electronic speed controller in the ready to run version. That's nice. Back in my day they came with mechanical speed controllers with the big resistors and servos. That's a great brand too. I had an RC10CE and an RC10T. Both were sweet. I also had a Midnight Pumpkin, and a Big Brute. Actually still have the Big Brute. It collects dust now. Good times though.

Mechanical speed controls! Actually, I built a kit recently with a mechanical speed control. I put the bigger spoiler on the car and took more pics of it:





I also snapped a few pics of my rally car. It's a 10-year-old 4WD Tamiya TA-02 chassis with Pirelli-licensed PZero tires on Subaru 10-spoke wheels. It's a beast off-road. The spoiler broke in a fight with a nitro truck.

Now I've got better looking wheels. They look a lot more like the 1:1 scale BTCC racer; except the R/C's wheels are 12-spoke and the real cars' wheels are 15-spoke.
