What is the battery's operating temps? What temp does your coolant get to? Is this hose before or after the radiator? (check flow)
Odds are, the battery is going to be fine. The normal underhood temps are close to coolant temps anyway. The surface area of where the hose touches the battery is probably very small as well (probably less than 1 square inch)
