With a lot of these high temp paints, you should let the car idle once the parts are installed to help the coating/paint cure. Multipul 10 min. sessions should help bake the coating on.

We did let it idle. But the paint we used wasn't the same stuff suggested earlier. Just regular Bar-B-Q paint, rated to 1500. Yeah, right. Oh well, at least his truck still sounds good, even if the headers look .

You can actually buy the same stuff that HPC or Jet-Hot uses, but it's like $140 a quart.

The thermotec stuff is $9 a can, and it survuved my turbo piping without peeling. It's rated at 2000 though.
