So, they actually do road construction up there? I was under the assumption that they just put the orange pylons down 10 years ago, because it always looks the same in Michigan.

Mark

no thats Indiana. He's probably an experienced crack sealer and pot-hole filler

I don't work up in da UP. The company is out of Wixom (near Detroit). I work down there mostly then in the Chicagoland area. But yes I am a experienced cracksealer! Still at home right now since its still raining down in Lansing so I will be riding the bike tomorrow morning!

It was either the 600 or 1000 for me. I figured I could take the lower insurance with the 600 and mod it up with a few goodies to make it like a 750 when I want to.

Please tell me you are not buying this bike as your first one...

No offense intended, but I see squids around here all the time picking their first bikes that are way too much for them to handle. Within 3 months they are either dead or totaled their bike, with almost no exceptions.

If this doesn't apply to you, then no worries and enjoy a great bike

Well this is my first bike. I wouldnt consider myself a squid though. I've driven my buddies 600 as well as many R6's and R1's. I have plenty of experience on bikes just never had my own yet!

its only a 600... what would you suggest for a person to get for a first bike? any bike your going to get is equally as dangerous as the next provided you don't act cautiously

There's your answer to the source of his wealth.

Sweet bike! I wanna get a Ducati Monster as they can be had for reasonable prices used, but I'll have to wait until I move somewhere where I can ride it any time of the year! Good luck, be safe, don't sell anymore crack.

I'll second this, riding friends bikes around is nothing compared to real riding. Be careful out there, and spend some time in the parking lots practicing low speed manuvers as well as quick braking (especially progressive braking).

You won't need any more power, spend most of your mod money on gear (and probably insurance).

On the brightside, if the bike is wrecked, it will probably come back to life as a racebike!
